NEWS 19/08/22 – Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Risk Season 2022-2023

MPI has issued provisional measures for the 2022-2023 Brown Marmorated Stink Bug season, which requires any shipments containing targeted high-risk goods that are shipped from/via target risk countries to be treated by an approved treatment provider at origin. This applies for cargo departing on or after September 1, 2022 arriving in or via NZ territory by April 30, 2023.  To ensure compliance, all bookings originating from an at risk country will be subject to signed BMSB shipper’s declaration. This will provide the required information to ensure no high risk goods are loaded without treatment. A full list of the ‘At Risk’ countries can be found on the MPI website.

 

 

NEWS 10/07/22 – New ANL Service

ANL are launching a new service, the “ANZ Shuttle” will be a fortnightly service commencing August ’22. The service will enhance ANLs existing trans-Tasman services.

The fortnightly routing will be Tauranga – Brisbane – Noumea, New Caledonia – Tauranga.

 

 

NEWS 20/06/22 – Maersk to Launch Dedicated New Zealand Coastal Service

Maersk is launching a new dedicated New Zealand coastal service, to be named “Maersk Coastal Connect”, to enable a more resilient New Zealand supply chain and improve vessel schedule reliability. 

The first of its kind for Maersk in its 25 years of operational history in the country, this service will help enhance domestic connections and offer sustainable and flexible supply chain solutions for importers, exporters and domestic distributors. Service deployment will be offered by 2 x 2,500 TEU vessels – Maersk Nadi and Maersk Nansha, and they will operate on a weekly basis. The service will cover five main New Zealand ports – Timaru, Lyttelton, Nelson, Auckland and Tauranga. 

The Maersk Coastal Connect will commence on July 12th 2022.
